The Capital was recognized as the most investment-efficient region in Russia. The delegation of the Moscow Government received a golden statuette "Investment Angel." Moscow received the prestigious World Investment Award "Investment Angel" in "Investment Effective Subjects of the Russian Federation." The Golden Statuette of the World Organization for Development and a diploma were presented to the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of External Economic and International Relations of the City, Sergei Cheryomin.

In his opinion, such a prize is a very high assessment of the work of the Moscow Government. "Over the past four years, through joint efforts, we have increased the level of foreign direct investment in various spheres of the urban economy more than fourfold," Sergei Cheryomin said at the ceremony.
The task of the organizing committee of the award is to show that foreign companies continue to invest in various projects in Russia effectively. "In the future, we intend to stimulate the development of various sectors of the economy in Russia and support the activity of investors, both external and internal," promised the President of the World Organization for Development, Robert Gubernatorov.
The winners were determined by experts from the World Organization for Development based on the rating of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, calculations of the analytical service WOD-Research and official statistics. This year the prize was awarded in ten nominations: "For contribution to achieving sustainable development goals"; "Investor of the Year"; "Technology Investor of the Year"; "Socially Oriented Investor of the Year"; "For Supporting Foreign Investors"; "Subject of the Russian Federation with the most favorable investment climate"; "Subject of the Russian Federation providing the best support for small business"; "Subject of the Russian Federation with the best infrastructure and resources"; "For contribution to improving the investment climate in the Russian Federation"; "Investment efficient constituent entities of the Russian Federation".
